Underwater Surveys & Inspections
Underwater surveys and inspections are carried out to evaluate, monitor, assess and collect data whether for regular maintenance, periodic inspections as required by Classification Societies or for client’s internal purposes. These can be carried out by visual inspection by a diver equipped with underwater CCTV cameras or by use of ROV’s and underwater drones. Digital video recordings and photographs complement the data collection and documentation process.

Underwater Hull Cleaning
Marine bio-fouling is an unavoidable occurrence in seagoing vessels. As the severity of marine growth increases, so does the drag they create on the vessel which translates to increased fuel costs, decreased performance and increased maintenance costs. Keeping the hull clean ensures operational efficiency and performance and extends afloat service life. Amphibia uses a hydraulically driven brush kart and twin brush system that uses various types of brushes to cater to different types and severity of fouling ensuring maximum removal of fouling while preserving of the paint system
Propeller Super Polishing and Repairs
Obtaining a finely polished propeller contributes greatly on a vessel’s performance, fuel efficiency and prolonged engine life. Super polishing to Rubert’s Scale A ensures that the propeller is smooth and with minimal friction and drag. This is achieved by using hydraulic hand motors fitted with a variety of polishing pad by experienced and professional divers.

Blanking, Plugging & Cofferdam Installation
In order to facilitate internal repairs, blanks, plugs and or cofferdam are necessary to be installed. These operations entail providing a water-tight barrier for the vessels without the need for costly dry-docking. We achieve this by using various types and designs of blanks, plugs, cofferdams and other equipment to suit our customer’s requirements.
Transducers, ICCPs, Sonars and Anodes
Installation and Replacement
From time to time, a vessel’s vital underwater components such
as transducers, sonars, ICCPs, anodes etc get damaged or
malfunction which will need necessary replacement or repairs
while afloat. Carrying out this operation afloat saves time and
costs compared to carrying out in the drydocks. Close
coordination among experienced and professional divers,
ship’s crew and equipment manufacturers and suppliers
ensures that this operation is carried out correctly and safely.
Underwater Welding and Cutting
Underwater welding or cutting are high risk underwater
operations. We provide this service with qualified and
experienced divers under strict Health and Safety
standards and procedures.
Underwater Construction and Installations Maintenance
Underwater structures include pipelines, oil-rigs, dams,
jetties, seawalls, powerplant intakes, Aids to Navigation
etc. We carry out and provide services in congruence with
the customers construction and maintenance programs
requirements. Diligently following a planned maintenance
system program ensures continuous operation and longer
serviceability.
​Salvage, Recovery and Wreck Removal
Marine salvage is the process of recovering a ship and or
its cargo after a shipwreck or other maritime casualty.
Salvage may encompass towing, re-floating a vessel, or
effecting repairs to a ship and today, protecting the
coastal environment from spillage of oil or other
contaminants is a high priority. We provide this service
together with our local and international partners.
